Social led cycle ride – Mosey to Markinch

Join us for a leisurely bike ride. We’ll cycle from Kirkcaldy to Balbirnie Park in Markinch and back. On the way, we will show you handy cycle routes (mostly off-road) and some routes around Glenrothes.

This ride is ideal for people looking to build up their fitness and discover some longer routes in the local area. It will also highlight a quiet route for anyone wanting to commute to Glenrothes or Markinch.

Key ride info

• Distance – long
• Hills – fairly hilly
• Surfaces – mainly smooth, good-quality surfaces. Some short sections with slightly rougher surfaces.
• Route – mainly on traffic-free paths, with some short stretches on quiet roads. One very short section on a busy road.

Additional Information

Participants should be able to cycle for 2 – 2.5 hrs at a leisurely pace. Under 16s must be accompanied by an adult.

Please make sure your bike is roadworthy before coming and wear appropriate clothes for the weather. We will carry out basic bike checks at the start of the ride.

Remember to also bring your own water and snacks.
