Pep up your pantry staples with sauces/dips made with some creative cooking know-how. We all have kitchen cupboard staples likes rice, pasta, couscous that are our ‘go-to’ ingredients for dinners, lunches and snacks. In this workshop we will be making some tasty sauces and dips from scratch that will inspire you to liven up your meals.
The mother of sauces – how to prepare the simple tomato and transform into classic Bolognese, feisty Puttanesca and spaghetti alla Norma. Prepare and sample each.
Pesto – not just your basil Pinenut favourite! We will be sampling and creating Scottish variations using fridge staples and seasonal greens to elevate this decadent sauce.
This is a hands-on cooking class. All dishes made can be taken away and enjoyed at home.
This workshop will be led by Samantha Wells of Random Dining. Sam works part-time at GK, has vast catering experience, and is passionate about creating food.
Some cooking skills are required to enjoy this workshop i.e. basic knife skills. Please bring some containers to take home your food. If you have any dietary requirements or allergies, please let us know when you are booking.
