Herbal tea workshop – Drying, blending and brewing
In this workshop we will learn about useful native herbs and plants that can be grown in Fife to make your own herbal teas. We will help you identify herbs that grow wild, along with herbs that can be cultivated at home and discuss how they can be used. We’ll discuss how to make herbal tea from plants that grow around you such as bergamot, nettle, mint, chamomile, and hyssop.
We’ll sample some herbs from our garden at Ravenscraig and discuss their benefits for our everyday wellbeing. We’ll make tea to try, and you’ll learn how best to harvest, dry and store your herbs. You’ll blend your own herbal tea to take home with you.
Your tutor for the morning will be Jackie one of our experienced gardeners who has a passion for enjoying and growing herbs.
We will be outside so come prepared for the weather.
