Greener Kids Gardening Club 1 (Postponed)
Further to the Government’s recent update on COVID-19, we have taken the decision to postpone all of our events from now until the end of April. Full refunds will be given.
We are reviewing the situation daily and will give regular updates on future events, including new dates for postponed events.
This Easter break our new kids gardening club will begin with lots of growing and outdoor activities. We will be based at Ravenscraig community garden and orchard where we will learn all about the seasons, plant seeds and discuss how we can work alongside nature to help young plants grow.
Join us on this first session where we will be:
- Preparing areas to plant and grow.
- Looking at different types of soil and what it’s in it.
- Examining seeds and deciding which ones to grow.
- Exploring the garden to look for weeds and bugs.
This gardening session is ideally suited for ages 8 -12. Each session will include a drink and a healthy snack.
Tools and equipment will be supplied.
The site is accessible for wheelchairs and there is parking on site.
We advise that children dress in old clothes as we will be getting messy. Wellies and waterproof clothes may be required depending on the weather.
