Sharing food is a great way to get to know people and catch up with friends and family. While we move towards increased flexibility in our lives, we can think more about eating with others.
In this workshop we will prepare a three-course meal for four people that will be easy to serve. This menu will appeal to both vegan guests and others that are looking to reduce or avoid meat and dairy. Let us show you how delicious a plant-based dinner party can be.
On the Menu
- Moroccan Style Hummus and Flatbreads: Hummus when made well is a really tasty dish. We will be using North African flavours and making homemade flatbreads to serve with it.
- Oven Baked Mushroom Lasagne: This lasagne will be assembled in the class ready to go into the oven. Learn a few different cooking techniques to help move away from using meat and dairy.
- Tiramisu: Make a non-dairy version of this luxurious dessert. Discover new ingredients to recreate this popular coffee flavoured dish to end your meal.
This is a hands-on cooking workshop. All dishes made can be taken away and enjoyed at home, and are suitable for a plant-based diet. Please bring some containers to take home your food. You are welcome to bring your own or favourite lasagne and pudding dish to use in the workshop.
This workshop will be led by our Community Chef Iain Mclellan, a skilled and talented Head Chef with over 20 years cooking experience. Iain is passionate about world cuisines and sharing his love of flavour combinations.
Some cooking skills are required in this workshop i.e. basic knife skills. If you have any dietary requirements or allergies, please let us know when you are booking.

Accessibility Information
There is Disabled parking available outside 8 East Fergus Place. We have a ramp into the building and level access throughout. There is also a disabled bathroom. We have an adjustable cooking station for those in wheelchairs or who need to sit while cooking.
