The Chinese New Year will be celebrated on Saturday 25 January. It falls during the Spring Festival in China which runs from 25 January to 4 February.
Chinese food covers a range of regions, textures and flavours. Jenny Thomson from Courses for Cooks will be teaching you to cook some traditional dishes packed with a taste of China.
We’ll be making the following dishes:
Spicy Soup with Spring Onions (Vegetarian)
Szechuan Pork or Tofu (Veggie/Vegan)
Chinese Style Kale (Vegetarian)
All dishes are gluten-free and we’ll also be serving rice with the above.
The workshop will be led by an experienced chef with plenty of time to discuss tips compare notes too. When you have cooked your dishes, we’ll all sit down to taste the food with a glass of wine, beer or soft drink ( inc. in the workshop fee).
Please bring some containers to take home your food. If you have any dietary requirements, please let us know when you are booking.
You’ll leave inspired and ready to experiment at home with Chinese Cooking.
There is disabled parking on site and The Lang Spoon Community Kitchen is wheelchair and mobility friendly.
