Check-ups and chain care

We’ll take you through the anatomy of your bike and how to ensure it is safe to use. Where to look for things that may be wearing out and how to check the condition of your chain and how to keep it clean and lubricated.

• Cleaning and re-lubricating a chain

Delivered by Lang Toun Cycles’ experienced cycle mechanics, anyone can register for this course. No previous experience necessary.

Water, Tea and coffee will be available

Ideally you should bring along your own bike or, if you like you can use one of our provided bikes. We will provide the required tools, protective equipment and work stands. Please make sure to wear clothes you don’t mind getting dirty.

There are public parking bays available outside the shop on the High Street with level access into the building and throughout. There is also an accessible toilet.
