Apple Day
Saturday 26th October : 11:00 am - 2:00 pm
Join us at our community garden and orchard in Ravenscraig Walled Garden for our Apple Day.
You can enjoy a walk around the gardens and through the orchard to see the fruit trees and maybe even get inspired to plant one at home. Our garden volunteers will be available to answer any questions.
There will be hot drinks, mulled apple juice and apple cake.
We’ll also have our apple press in action to offer anyone with excess apples the chance to press them into juice. You can press your own, but we’ll have some helpers to assist. Bring along some empty bottles to take juice home. Please note, we always have a lot of apples to get through and we can’t guarantee you will get the juice from your own apples.
We’re planning even more activities, so watch this space!
This is an outdoor event.
Community Land Festival
This year apple day is part of Community Land Scotland’s Community Land Festival. As part of this, we’ll give you the opportunity to write your love letters to Greener Kirkcaldy’s sites and share your hopes for the next 100 years. There will also be opportunities to take part in these activities online and in our community building at East Fergus Place throughout the Community Land Festival which runs from 18th October – 3rd November.
