While turkey, ham and all the trimmings is a traditional classic here in the UK at this time of year, many other countries have their own staple dishes for the festive season. In this evening cooking workshop, we’ll be sampling and making some festive food from around the globe:
Demo and tasting…
Barszcz with mushroom pierogi (Poland) – red beetroot borscht with miniature mushroom dumplings.
After the demo you’ll be making…
Super speedy salmon gravlax (Finland) – cured using a mix of salt and sugar, and traditional herbs.
Chiles en Nogado (Mexico) – stuffed peppers with turkey mince, spices and dried fruits, with a creamy walnut sauce and seeds.
Recipes can be adapted for Vegetarian and Vegan menus. Please let us know when you are booking.
This is a hands-on cooking class. All food made can be taken away and enjoyed at home.
The workshop will be delivered by Samantha Wells of Random Dining. Sam works with Greener Kirkcaldy, has vast cooking experience, and she is passionate about creating food and sharing her skills.
Some cooking skills are required to enjoy this workshop i.e. basic knife skills. Please bring some containers to take home your food. If you have any dietary requirements or allergies, please let us know when you are booking.
