The summer provides a glut of amazing fresh vegetables that grow in Scotland. This evening of cooking and discussion (and of course eating!) aims to leave you feeling inspired to make the most of the seasons’ best whilst it’s here. Not only do seasonal vegetables that have traveled only a few miles taste great, they also have minimal impact on the environment. Louise Oliver will lead a cooking demonstration and provide great hints and tips to create delicious summer meals, from salads and tarts to vegetables on the barbeque. We’ll also explore why making vegetables the main attraction on your dinner plate is great for the environment, and look at what’s in season when and where to buy the best local produce.
