Pilgrim Way By Bike – Cameron Bridge Station to Cupar

For this ride we are choosing one of our favourite sections of the Pilgrim Way, starting ad finishing at a train stations so you can utilize public transport for greener travel.

This ride is ideal for people looking to explore Fife off-road and are interested in the history of the area and the Fife Pilgrim Way route. We will have Fife Pilgrim Way expert Euan with us to guide you through points of interest and share stories about the people who would have made the Pilgrimage through Fife from Dunfermline to St Andrews.

Starting at Cameron Bridge train station we leave town on one of the old mining tramways and head into the hills. It’s a beautiful route, rugged & remote in places, a great mix of gravel & single track, a great challenge.

We will finish the ride at Cupar train station.

Please make sure your bike is suited to off-road use and you have any specific spares required before coming

Route information

Distance – long

Hills – hilly. Includes several hills (which you can push your bike up if needed).

Surfaces – a mixture of off-road trails

Route – mainly off-road, on traffic-free paths, with some quiet roads.


Additional Information

Children under 16 must be accompanied by an adult.

⁠Medication – if you normally carry an inhaler or EpiPen (or similar) please ensure you bring this with you

Bring a water bottle that fits your bike or day sack

Bring a wind/waterproof jacket; always a good idea to bring with you

ride a helmet is advised.

Participants should be able to cycle for 4 hours and over 25 km on a mix of surfaces.

Booking Information

The event is free but booking is required. You can choose to purchase a ticket with a donation. Donations help us do more work in our community.

Our booking form includes a series of optional anonymous questions. These help us learn more about the people we reach through our events. Any information you choose to share about your background is managed separately to information that you give us to process your booking (for example, your name).
