SUMMARY:Family-friendly litter-picking at Seafield
DESCRIPTION:Join us for a family‑friendly coastal ramble and litter‑picking walk from Kirkcaldy to Seafield Tower led by Rubbish Rangers. \nTake part in a relaxed coastal litter‑picking walk designed for families\, children\, and anyone who loves being outdoors. Together\, we’ll explore a stretch of the Fife Coastal Path\, enjoy time in nature\, look out for local wildlife (including the local Seafield seals)\, and help keep our coastline clean. From toddlers to teens and adults\, everyone can join in and make a positive difference. \nThis event is planned with kids in mind\, so the pace of the walk and litter-picking will be adjusted to little participants. Seafield Tower will be the end point where participants can rest\, enjoy a snack\, and hopefully spot seals relaxing on the rocks\, before returning to the car park. \nThe walk itself is child‑friendly\, but the rocks around the tower and the nearby coastline are very uneven. Children must remain under close adult supervision in this section\, especially if they climb onto the rocks to get a better view of the seals. \nAdditional Information\nPlease note that this event is weather-dependent. In the event of forecast adverse weather\, Greener Kirkcaldy staff will decide whether to go ahead with the walk the day before. We will contact attendees via phone and email if the walk cannot go ahead. \nDress for the outdoors – wear appropriate shoes and clothing. Bringing water and light snacks for young kids is advised as well. As this event is organised with children in mind\, dogs are not permitted. \nLitter pickers\, high‑vis vests for kids\, bin bags\, and children’s gardening gloves will be provided. Disposable gloves will be available for adult participants\, but you’re welcome to bring your own gardening gloves if you prefer. \nBooking Instructions\nThe event is free but booking is required. You can choose to purchase a ticket with a donation. Donations help us do more work in our community. \nOur booking form includes a series of optional anonymous questions. These help us learn more about the people we reach through our events. Any information you choose to share about your background is managed separately to information that you give us to process your booking (for example\, your name). \nIf you are having trouble booking you can call 01592 858458 or email info@greenerkirkcaldy.org.uk for assistance. \nAccessibility information\nThere are accessible parking spaces on site. The area covered during the event will be mostly flat\, with one or two slightly steeper sections. This route is accessible for more robust buggies and wheelchairs; lightweight strollers may find some areas challenging \nToilets are available nearby at Morrisons or slightly further at the East Basin Car Park at the end of the prom. \nPlease let us know of any accessibility requirements when booking

SUMMARY:Kirkcaldy to Kinghorn coastal ramble
DESCRIPTION:Join us for a beautiful coastal walk along the Fife Coastal Path from Kirkcaldy to Kinghorn. \nWe will walk along from Seafield\, passing the historic Seafield Tower and looking out for interesting plants\, wildlife and geology on the way. \nOur journey will be partly along the beach\, depending on accessibility requirements and weather conditions\, allowing us to beachcomb for pottery\, sea-glass and fossils. \nWhen we reach Kinghorn\, walkers may choose to get the train or bus back to Kirkcaldy (at their own expense)\, or do the return walk independently. There are cafes in Kinghorn if we wish to finish with coffee/lunch together. \nAdditional Information\nPlease note that this walk is weather-dependent. In the event of forecast adverse weather\, Greener Kirkcaldy staff will decide whether to go ahead with the walk the day before.
