These walks are led by volunteer walk leader Tina. \nAdditional Information\nPlease note that this walk is weather-dependent. In the event of forecast adverse weather\, we will decide whether to go ahead with the walk and announce the cancellation on Facebook \nParticipants should be able to walk 2 miles at a leisurely pace. The route is mostly flat with some steeper sections/steps\, on paths\, tracks and the beach. \nPlease wear appropriate clothes for the weather. \nUnder 16’s must be accompanied by an adult. No dogs please. \nMeet Tina\n \nTina grew up on the west coast of Scotland\, studied at various universities across the UK and had an early career as a Biochemical engineer. She left it all to live on the Isle of Mull and had an idyllic life there as an organic gardener among other things then eventually came back to the mainland to retrain. She graduated in Fine art in 2018 and developed an ecological contemporary art practice.  \nThe regular walks in the park have a light focus on healing from trauma and anxiety. They will be a little bit more mindful and attentive than the usual noisy\, chatty conversational walks. They aim to be nurturing. \n“Walking is a significant component of my contemporary art practice which aims to deepen our connection with the natural world. I have proposed these walks because I feel it is importantly for us to develop a growing relationship with a place and get to know it in all its moods and seasons.”  \nAccessibility Information\nThe route is unsuitable for wheelchairs / pushchairs due to the terrain. DESCRIPTION:Join us for an easy buggy/carrier walk around Ravenscraig Park. The park near Dysart\, is great for walking with lots of nice woodland. \nThis session is aimed at parents and carers with young children. We will go at an easy pace\, allowing plenty of time to chat as we go. Please bring your own water. \nThis is part of a series of buggy walks this summer and part of our Communities Connected programme. \nAdditional Information\nPlease note that this walk is weather-dependent. In the event of forecast adverse weather\, Greener Kirkcaldy staff will decide whether to go ahead with the walk the day before. We will contact attendees via phone and email if the walk cannot go ahead. \nThis is an easy walk for parents and carers with babies or toddlers in a buggy or carrier. Participants should be able to walk 2 miles at a leisurely pace. The route is mostly flat and on paved paths. \nPlease dress yourself and your child appropriately for the weather and wear suitable footwear. Please bring your own water/drink. It will also provide some opportunity to build up your confidence cycling on quiet roads.  \nPart of the Kirkcaldy Cycling Festival. Attendees at the event will have the opportunity to enter the Kirkcaldy Cycling Festival prize draw. \nAdditional Information \nParticipants should be able to cycle for 1.5 – 2hrs at a leisurely pace. Along the way\, we will play games\, go to the beach and have a picnic lunch.  \nWe will\, while having fun\, come up with ideas on how to cycle more and how this can tackle climate change.  \n\nDistance – medium \nSurfaces – mainly smooth\, good-quality surfaces. Some sections may be slightly rougher surfaces. \nRoute – mainly on quiet roads\, shared paths and with some on traffic-free paths.\n\nThis event is part of the Kirkcaldy Cycling Festival and is free thanks to funding from Smarter Choices Smarter Places. \nAttendees at the event will have the opportunity to enter the Kirkcaldy Cycling Festival prize draw. \n Additional Information\nPlease note that this bike ride is weather-dependent. \nParticipants should be able to cycle for 1 – 2hrs at a leisurely pace.
