SUMMARY:Afternoon walk - Townhill Woods from Queen Margaret Hospital (Dunfermline)
DESCRIPTION:Join us for a sociable weekend stroll where we will be looking for signs of spring. We’ll walk to the picturesque Townhill Country Park in Dunfermline with its mixed woodland via pavements\, tracks and a peaceful\, traffic-free walk/cycle path. \nWe’ll see what local wildlife and plants we encounter. There will also be a chance to learn about the area’s coal mining heritage and visit the memorial garden. \nPart of our Healthy and Active Ways to Work programme. \nAdditional Information\nPlease note that this walk is weather-dependent. In the event of forecast adverse weather\, Greener Kirkcaldy staff will decide whether to go ahead with the walk the day before. We will contact attendees via phone\, email and any cancellation will be also posted on Facebook if the walk cannot go ahead. \nThe 3 mile walk will take up to 2 hours\, and be on fairly flat\, paved surfaces with some sections of gravel footpath/woodland track. \nPlease wear appropriate clothes for the weather. Please bring your own water and snacks. \nUnder 16’s must be accompanied by an adult. No dogs please. \nThe meeting place is at Queen Margaret Hospital Gate 2\, on the corner between Whitefield Road and Access Road 3. \nWhat3Words exact meeting spot: ///faster.broom.ports  \nThere are bus stops close by\, and Dunfermline Queen Margaret Rail Station is a few minutes’ walk away. \nMore info about getting to the hospital \nIf you want to know more specific information about the route please contact us.
