SUMMARY:Plate Up for Fife (2-part online workshop)
DESCRIPTION:Climate Action Fife is a Fife-wide partnership project\, bringing together individuals\, communities\, local government and businesses to tackle the climate emergency. It is funded by The National Lottery Community Fund’s Climate Action Fund. \nWe can introduce some simple changes at home by being more climate-friendly in our food choices. Join us online in our Plate Up For Fife workshop programme where we will focus on two themes: Worskhop 1: reducing our food waste on Tuesday 13th April at 7pm\, and Workshop 2: eating locally and seasonally on Tuesday 20th April at 7pm. We’ll also be talking about other ways we can reduce our meat and dairy consumption. It’s important to attend both workshops. \nThe workshops will include demos by our community chef making dishes that help us learn skills for using up leftovers\, reducing waste and cooking with local fruit and vegetables. We’ll share recipes and participants can collect a bag of free ingredients to make at least one of the meals we demonstrate in your own time. \n We will share information about each topic and have surveys for participants to complete. We also hope to generate discussions during the workshops and have fun learning from each other! \n \nBooking Information \n The event is free but booking is required as places are limited. Book your place below. \nIf you are in Kirkcaldy and can pick up the ingredients then choose pick up ingredients ticket but if you can’t pick up the ingredients and want to come along then please choose the general admission ticket. \n Participants will need to collect ingredients before the workshops from 8 East Fergus Place on the following days: \n Workshop 1 \n Monday 12th April between 10am and 2pm \nor \n Tuesday 13th April between 10am and 2pm \nWorkshop 2 \n Monday\, 19th April between 10am and 2pm \nor \n Tuesday 20th April between 10am and 2pm \n We’ll send out a joining instructions before each workshop. \n If you have any problems booking\, or any questions\, please phone 01592 858458 or email info@greenerkirkcaldy.org.uk
