SUMMARY:E-bike Try-Outs (Sold Out)
DESCRIPTION:Come along and try out an e-bike. Learn about different models\, before joining us on a short ride to see how much easier they make cycling up hills!  \nWe will provide e-bikes for you to borrow for the ride.   \nThe two rides will be targeted at different types of cyclist – please choose the ride that best meets your needs.  \nRides will be 10:30-11:30am and 12-1pm\, but please come along during the 15mins before the ride to choose your bike beforehand.  \nThe 10:30am ride will be a leisurely ride\, mainly on traffic-free paths. We will head along the Prom before testing out the bikes on the hill up to Ravenscraig Park. This ride is suitable for less confident cyclists who don’t currently cycle much\, or at all.  \nThe 12pm ride will be a longer\, faster ride\, testing out some of Kirkcaldy’s legendary hills. The ride will be on a mixture of traffic-free paths and roads. This ride is suitable for people who are already confident cyclists\, but who would like to try out e-bikes.  \nWe will be meeting at the Basin car park on the Prom (near Morrisons).  \nParticipants should be able to cycle for 1hr (at a leisurely pace for the first ride\, or at a faster pace for the 12pm ride)\, and must be at least 16 years old. Please wear appropriate clothes for the weather.  \nThe event is free but booking is required. SUMMARY:Around Kirkcaldy Walk: Coast
DESCRIPTION:Come and explore a scenic route along Kirkcaldy’s coast and up to Gallatown.  \nThis walk is being run in partnership with Kirkcaldy Ramblers. It is the first of three walks\, which together go all the way around Kirkcaldy. The subsequent walks are being run on 15th and 22nd of March.  \nThis walk is 5 miles long\, with a total ascent or 150m (500ft). Paths will be pavements or hardcore with some steps\, and the route will include crossing one beach section. Please make sure you wear warm\, waterproof clothing to suit weather conditions\, and sturdy walking footwear suitable for muddy conditions. Remember to also bring your own water and snacks. \nWe will be meeting on Kirkcaldy Prom\, at the Basin car park (near Morrisons)\, and finishing on Rosslyn Street\, south of Gallatown roundabout. Please note that this walk is one-way\, so you will need to make your own way back. \n\nBooking Information\nThe event is free but booking is required.
