SUMMARY:Lang Toun summer trails - Connecting Wemyss Ware Cats cycle
DESCRIPTION:Join us for an off-road adventure! Starting in Beveridge Park\, this cycle links Kirkcaldy to the Wemyss Ware Cats in Auchtertool\, Burntisland and Kinghorn on the Wemyss Ware Cat Trail. \nThis route is challenging\, with plenty of rough sections\, climbing and technical descents. \nThe ride will be led by Greener Kirkcaldy’s Active Travel Project Manager\, David Glover who is an experienced mountain bike rider\, racer and multi-day bikepacker. David has a Mountain Bike Leader qualification and as a UKCC Level 2 MTB coach\, so you will be in safe\, capable hands. \nThe route map can be found here. \nYou can download the GPX of the route to your own device. \n  \nWith riding on all types of surfaces\, there will be elevations changes to challenge you going up as well as down\, and plenty of chance to share stories and the fun of off-road riding. \nPlease bring sufficient fluid and snacks to keep you going for 3 hours of riding \nAdditional Information\nPlease note that this bike ride is weather-dependent and is not suitable for younger children. 16+ years only. \nYou should be able to ride a bicycle on un-sealed paths and rougher off-road surfaces \nYou should have an off-road capable bicycle in safe working order. This can be either a mountain bike with minimum 1.75 inch wide knobbly tyres\, or a gravel bike with minimum 40mm wide knobbly tyres. \nDue to the technical nature of these rides and the increased risks of falls\, Cycle Helmets are mandatory for all participants \nRiders are also to bring at least one spare inner tube that is the correct size for their bike. \nThese rides will last until late evening\, so working lights front and rear are also required \nFor advice about lights\, inner tubes or if your bike is suitable; please ask in store at Lang Toun Cycles \nIf you want to know more specific information about the route please contact us.
