Full refunds will be given. \nWe are reviewing the situation daily and will give regular updates on future events\, including new dates for postponed events. \nBring your own project and sew with others at our new fortnightly ‘Sew and Chat’ group. \nWhether you’re struggling a bit with a project and looking for advice\, or just want to meet new people and sew in a group\, we’ll be meeting every other Wednesday for a fun evening with lots of chat\, tea and biscuits\, and\, of course\, plenty of sewing! \nAll abilities welcome. Bring your own project (including your materials\, threads etc.) to work on. It can be anything from the basics to ballgowns! It’s a social evening\, so there’s no formal teaching\, but our sewing tutor\, Gabbi\,will be on hand for guidance\, advice and help. \nWe’ll have some sewing machines available for people to use. Refreshments will be provided. \n£5 per session – payable on the night. No need to book.

SUMMARY:Fuel Efficient Driver Training
DESCRIPTION:No matter how well or efficiently you think you drive\, you can always pick up some useful tips in our FREE Fuel Efficient Driver Training (FEDT). Car technology and road infrastructure have changed\, so our training can help you drive more efficiently. In our last campaign we helped almost 100 people in our community save an average of 15% on their fuel consumption. \nFEDT is an informal training session that lasts 50 minutes and takes place with an Approved Trainer. Here is what our trainer James Coutts has to say about the course: “The first thing I always say is that it’s not a driving test (you’re not going to get a telling-off for crossing your hands on the steering wheel and you won’t be asked to perform an emergency stop!). The aim is to make the training very relaxed and enjoyable and the benefits are endless: participants can gain substantial savings by reducing fuel; less pollution from your car thus protecting the environment; and less wear and tear on tyres and brakes etc.” \nThe trainer provides the car\, fuel and insurance. You’ll complete a circuit twice\, once before training and again after training. Miles per gallon is measured for both circuits so you can work out how much you can save. \nPlease note – you must bring your valid driving license with you or you won’t be able to do the training. \n  \nBooking Information\n\nThis event is free\, but booking is required. SUMMARY:Sew and Chat (Fortnightly Sewing Group) (Postponed)
DESCRIPTION:Further to the Government’s recent update on COVID-19\, we have taken the decision to postpone all of our events from now until the 15th May. Full refunds will be given. \nWe are reviewing the situation daily and will give regular updates on future events\, including new dates for postponed events. \nBring your own project and sew with others at our new fortnightly ‘Sew and Chat’ group. \nWhether you’re struggling a bit with a project and looking for advice\, or just want to meet new people and sew in a group\, we’ll be meeting every other Wednesday for a fun evening with lots of chat\, tea and biscuits\, and\, of course\, plenty of sewing! \nAll abilities welcome. Bring your own project (including your materials\, threads etc.) to work on. It can be anything from the basics to ballgowns! It’s a social evening\, so there’s no formal teaching\, but our sewing tutor\, Gabbi\,will be on hand for guidance\, advice and help. \nWe’ll have some sewing machines available for people to use. Refreshments will be provided. \n£5 per session – payable on the night. No need to book.

DESCRIPTION:Are you interested in reducing the carbon footprint of your home or transport? Would you like to save money on your energy bills or transport costs?  \nHear about electric vehicles\, including charging\, range\, maintenance and purchase costs\, the cost and carbon savings electric vehicles can make\, and the funding available to help you make the switch to a lower emission vehicle. \nIn the second part of the event you’ll learn about reducing the carbon emissions of your home and improving your home’s energy efficiency rating\, the viability of solar panels for households\, get to grips with the smart export guarantee\, and learn how battery storage can optimise your home energy usage\, especially when combined with electric vehicle charging. \nYou’ll hear from experts at Home Energy Scotland as well as gaining first-hand experience from electric vehicle owners and homeowners with solar panels. The training will cover how to extend your device’s battery life\, disable unwanted connections\, avoid live wallpaper and widgets and simply speed it up! \nOur small class will ensure that there is plenty of time to ask questions. The course is designed for any device which runs the Android Operating System. SUMMARY:Fuel Efficient Driver Training
DESCRIPTION:No matter how well or efficiently you think you drive\, you can always pick up some useful tips in our FREE Fuel Efficient Driver Training (FEDT). Car technology and road infrastructure have changed\, so our training can help you drive more efficiently. In our last campaign we helped almost 100 people in our community save an average of 15% on their fuel consumption. \nFEDT is an informal training session that lasts 50 minutes and takes place with an Approved Trainer. Here is what our trainer James Coutts has to say about the course: “The first thing I always say is that it’s not a driving test (you’re not going to get a telling-off for crossing your hands on the steering wheel and you won’t be asked to perform an emergency stop!). The aim is to make the training very relaxed and enjoyable and the benefits are endless: participants can gain substantial savings by reducing fuel; less pollution from your car thus protecting the environment; and less wear and tear on tyres and brakes etc.” \nThe trainer provides the car\, fuel and insurance. You’ll complete a circuit twice\, once before training and again after training. Miles per gallon is measured for both circuits so you can work out how much you can save. \nPlease note – you must bring your valid driving license with you or you won’t be able to do the training. \n  \nBooking Information\n\nThis event is free\, but booking is required.
