DESCRIPTION:Inspiration for a delicious plant-based dinner party to impress your family and friends.\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nSharing food is a great way to get to know people and catch up with friends and family. While we move towards increased flexibility in our lives\, we can think more about eating with others. \nIn this workshop we will prepare a three-course meal for four people that will be easy to serve. This menu will appeal to both vegan guests and others that are looking to reduce or avoid meat and dairy. Let us show you how delicious a plant-based dinner party can be. \nOn the Menu\n\nMoroccan Style Hummus and Flatbreads: Hummus when made well is a really tasty dish. We will be using North African flavours and making homemade flatbreads to serve with it.\n\n\nOven Baked Mushroom Lasagne: This lasagne will be assembled in the class ready to go into the oven. Learn a few different cooking techniques to help move away from using meat and dairy.\n\n\nTiramisu: Make a non-dairy version of this luxurious dessert. Discover new ingredients to recreate this popular coffee flavoured dish to end your meal.\n\nThis is a hands-on cooking workshop. All dishes made can be taken away and enjoyed at home\, and are suitable for a plant-based diet. Please bring some containers to take home your food. You are welcome to bring your own or favourite lasagne and pudding dish to use in the workshop. \nThis workshop will be led by our Community Chef Iain Mclellan\, a skilled and talented Head Chef with over 20 years cooking experience. You will see gates entering into Ravenscraig Park. Just past these gates are two green metal gates beside a red brick wall – that is the entrance to Ravenscraig Walled Garden. Go through the green gates and follow the path around to your right past the car park. Keep to the right and you will see a big space with lots of allotments. If you look to the left\, you will see a green ‘cabin’ with a polytunnel and raised beds. That is where we meet. If no-one there\, people might be in our old plot – Go past the two flower beds on the left and you will see a green hedge in the left. Our community garden is behind the hedge on the left. It has a big brown shed on it.
