Beginners sweet bread making
Saturday 12th October: 10:00am to 3:00pm
£28 – £35
This workshop is an introduction to baking with sweet, yeasted and enriched doughs to create delicious breads and buns. We’ll make a buttery French brioche loaf and fragrant Scandinavian style cinnamon buns.
On our fun and informative sweet dough workshop you’ll learn some basic recipes that you can then adapt at home to create a variety of sweet yeasted breads. We’ll look at the ingredients and techniques – and how to fit bread making into your life.
The course is hands-on – we’ll make 2 different enriched doughs, then shape and create them into buns and brioche. There will be time to discuss, taste and compare notes.
You’ll leave inspired and ready to abandon shop bought breads. The course is suitable for beginners and people with some experience interested in trying out something new (we’ll be using wheat flour, eggs and dairy – this workshop is not suitable for anyone with a dairy or gluten allergy). Please bring a large box and a bag to take home your creations.
There is disabled parking on site and The Lang Spoon Community Kitchen is wheelchair and mobility friendly.
Booking is required as spaces are limited.
