Volunteer Project Assistants: Advice Centre

Greener Kirkcaldy has some opportunities for volunteers to help in our new environmental advice centre. We are looking for people with environmental backgrounds, and with experience of dealing with the public. We are particularly looking for people who are available to help on Thursdays and/or Saturdays. Volunteers should be willing to commit to at least two days (or four half-days) per month. For more information, please read the job description (PDF download). We are looking for volunteers to help with community outreach events, for example at stands at events. Casual volunteers

Greener Kirkcaldy will also have opportunities for volunteers with a wide range of skills and those seeking experience in environmental and community work – please get in touch if you are interested in volunteering in any way.

Volunteer management committee members (trustees)

We are also currently looking for new volunteer management committee members (trustees), to attend monthly meetings, contribute to the overall management and decision-making of the organisation, and contribute a few hours of volunteer time to the group each month. Greener Kirkcaldy is looking for people with professional or management experience in areas such as project management or business management; communications, marketing or public relations; community work; financial management; law. An interest in environmental issues and a concern about climate change is essential, but in-depth or technical knowledge of those is not needed.
