Recycle your Christmas trees

From Fife Council:

Recycling your real tree is now even easier, just choose one of the
options below and your Christmas Tree will be composted.

  • In your brown bin. Please make sure the lid is closed and that the tree will come out easily when the bin is emptied.
  • At the side of your brown bin on the January collection date only.Please cut into lengths of 5ft or less.
  • At your local Recycling Centre.

(There have been some rumours that trees would be landfilled this year – this was due to old information on Fife Council’s website, from last year when the terrible weather disrupted waste collections! We’ve spoken to the Council and they are going to update their website).
